Hi ALl,

Quick question is driving me nuts. Anyone on the list running a Weber
side draft and a SU Pump? My after market died, and I replaced it with
a SU that I've been kicking around the shop, it is a new pump. First
thing I have noticed is that at sustained 4500 RPM's, she starts sucking
air no fuel. If I continue she will run the bowl dry. Then it's nurse
her home or be towed. I thought maybe the fuel filter was plugged,
replaced. plugged line, I blew them out. Blocked screen on Weber, it
was clean. Bad fuel regulator, pulled it out. I have recently had the
tank out it is spotless, no rust or dirt. Pickup tube where it is
supposed to be.

Have any of you had a SU pump collapse the 1/4" rubber fuel line? I
notice at the filter, it is see through, that when this happens it is
dry. The pump is clicking about one every 15 seconds. If I open the
leg by the carb, it pulses fuel.

Help, I'm lost.

Rick
