Thanks for the info Frank.  It helps alot.  I can now give my spring
maker/fixer an idea of what "normal" is and at least see how far out it
might be.  He mentioned that if it is corroded they would not attempt to
re-arch them in which case I will consider Mike's suggestion to have them
make new ones.
