Hi Allen and list,

>"Oggibip"?!? Maybe you could explain that name for the list. Might it be
>Gaelic for "Leaks a Lot"?

My first son, Mark, was born 1979. The (extended) re-build of the Sprite
carried on
for a few years more. After a while, Mark took an interest in all cars,
which he called
"Bip-bips". From Beeb-beeb, sound of horns, I suppose. The Sprite went back on
the road in 1986, twelve years after I bought her. Mark was delighted, and
while he
could talk real good by then, we now had twin boys born 1984. It was they, in
conjunction with Mark's term for all cars, who coined the word "Oggibip". As I
suppose all the list knows, Mk.1 Sprites are known as Frogeyes this side of
the
pond, so Frogs....Ogs.....Oggi..+bip. The joys of youth! The name stuck.

I'm NOT saying anything about leaks. What's a leek anyway? Is that not a
Welsh
thingy?

Thanks for the interest. Hope I have not bored some people.
Ron from Ireland.
