I noticed this when I installed my 5 speed. I just bent the shifter to
the right to compansate.
I am using the original Sprite metal shift housing with the Datsun shift
stick.
I used a mapp gas hand torch and a vise to bend an "S" curve in it.
No specs, just trial and error. I didn't even hurt the chrome on the
shifter.
