Just a point about this; the spacers go between the lower wishbone and
the spring pan seat and because the centre line of the coil sprin is
pretty well 1/2 way between the inboard pivot points and the wheel,
the amount that the car is lowered by is approximately twice the
thickness of the spacers that you use. i.e. 1/2" spacer lowers car by
approx 1"

Of course it dosn't alter the spring "rate" so that is why you have to
be careful about not overdoing it, or you hit bottom on full yumps!
The proper (and more expensive solution) is to fit shortened, but
stiffer springs.
