Out it comes

I am about to haul the engine/transmission out of the Meejit Yellow Peril and
have never before performed such surgery. I know that having a hoist with
adjustable angle of attack is desirable, but since I don't have one I am
wondering out loud about acceptable substitutes. Should I split the
engine/trans in the car and yank a piece at a time? Or is there a way to
"we-tight" an adjustable hoist?

Any other suggestions??

As they say in med school: "See it, do it, teach it".
