Good Morning,

In my pursuit of relocation information, I've been searching the DMV site.
It hasn't been so helpful. All I've been able to find relates to how long I
have to transfer my license and tags. I haven't found any info specific to
antique vehicles.

Am I missing it? Not looking in the right place? Are all cars treated like
regular passenger cars? It looked to me like any plates could go on an
antique vehicle (but they're cheaper), but I can't locate what the
restrictions are (if any) for registering as an antique. I currently have
unrestricted plates on my car.

Are insurance rates fixed by the state or competitive? Is there any question
that I should be asking and haven't, or don't know I should be asking?

Does anyone have an agent for rental/auto that they would recommend in the
San Jose or San Francisco area? I do have AAA if that makes a difference.

Any advice is appreciated (even a pointer on where to look).

Thanks in advance,

Al (hopefully leaving the single digit temperatures behind for good)
