Thread-topic: Valves - are the expensive ones worth it?
Anyone have any recommendations on where I should get new valves for a 1275
head I'm rebuilding?

The stock ones are pretty cheap from the usual sources (Moss, etc.), but as
soon as you go to anything "fancy", it seems like $30 per valve or thereabouts
is the norm. Anyone have experience of the Rimflows, for example, as compared
to bog standard.

The engine is for road use only, but I'm doing the basic porting as suggested
in Vizard's book, and I'm considering going up one size in each of the valves
(not sure if I can yet, as the head has hardened seat inserts which may be too
narrow to support being ground any wider).

Also, I have 1.5 non roller rockers that I'll be putting on this head. Any
spring recommendations for such a setup?

Phil
