A group 27 battery is much bigger than a group 24. I'm using a group 26,
same thing I use in my '74 MGB, instead of the two 6 volts. Right now I've
got a group 65 (a truly huge battery) in the '74 Midget while I get it all
lined out, but I've got the heater box out, too. You can get a group 26
battery with reversed terminals, too. (26R)
