Okay, I tried Jim's idea of brake fluid ... no go. I've received a couple of
liquid choices and a couple of sanding options. So they're next on my list.
By the time I'm done I'll have several new tools and too many quarts of
fluid.
Last option is getting a new plate and mounting it somewhere "easier" to
find.
Thanks for the ideas and I'll let you know how they go.
