How old is Son?

I have found amazing things happen ONLY to my 22 year olds car.

Young boys cars just seem to "get broke" lots more than other cars, what I
did find was a way of making cars last longer under my son was having him
pay for the repairs, lol

Last summer my son and I put new front brake pads in his 89 Cavalier. About
a month ago the passenger side started grinding... Only about 8K miles on
the pads. We stuck some more new ones on... The driver's side pads were
fine! Friday he says that something is making noises in the front and he
thinks the brakes are doing it. I take a look and BOTH sides are metal on
metal!!! WTFIU???

We will have to do rotors this time with new pads. Any ideas as to why the
pads wore out so quickly. I figure the calipers must be sticking but why now
all of a sudden? Do you think the hoses are English and swell up causing
pressure to hold the pistons out?
