Principal Technology Solutions Specialist

Description:  This position is a hybrid senior-level
technical/management/business development position. The successful candidate
will coordinate tasking from a variety of customers, program managers,
software developers, and engineers by contributing to and/or managing the
end-to-end completion of a variety of technical projects.  Developing new
business is an element of this position.  Job requirements include:

-Develop/Coordinate PSI solutions for customer-based deliverables:
*Study and understand new technologies and processes appropriate to customer
tasking.  Be able to recommend and track appropriate approaches to deliver
solutions.
*Become aware of complementary and competing technologies and programs in
both the commercial and government market places.  Be able to explain the
benefits and pitfalls of using these technologies or engaging with these
programs.
*Define project requirements in coordination with customers, PSI developers,
and business partners.  Project definition includes but is not limited to
determination of services required, scheduling of tasks, and monitoring and
reporting of progress.
*Ensure continuous synchronization and thorough communication between
customer expectations and PSI project deliverables for a variety of
projects.
*Coordinate between customers and technical leads to ensure that project
timelines meet customer timelines.
*Work with customers, technicians, engineers, software programmers, and
program managers to ensure correct technical solutions are delivered on time
and within budget.
- Develop new business:
*Seek out and educate customers on core technologies that may provide the
best solutions to customer challenges.
*Coordinate and develop prototyping efforts to demonstrate the effectiveness
of core technologies (mastered by PSI) in solving specific customer
requirements.
*Ensure customer understanding of why PSI products, services and training
are their best answer in meeting their needs.  Coordinate the sale of
products, services, and training in support of customer projects.
*Develop new technologies or strategic alliances/business partnerships
necessary to obtain new business and enter new and expanding profitable
markets.

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Science or Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of information technology experience, including
three (3) years of project management experience on complex client server
applications.
- Must be able to match customer requirements with technological solutions.
- Proven ability and significant experience in managing software-intensive
projects for Department of Defense acquisition system programs.
- Responsibilities should have included business process evaluation and
systems analysis, planning and design, as well as recent technical
development, enhancement and implementation experience.
- Must have significant experience in and proven ability to work with
disparate groups to solve complex problems is essential.
- Must be able to understand group dynamics, in addition to leading and
directing groups, to produce cohesive descriptions of business situations
and requirements.
- Must have demonstrated ability for obtaining funding from government
agencies and/or commercial sources.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Ability to explain
technical operations in easily understood language for non-technical
personnel.
- Must have current, or eligibility to receive, top secret government
security clearance.
