Oil cooler lines?

I need to get a set of lines for an oil cooler. The idea was to cut the piece 
of tubing coming out of the banjo bolt and crimp a line on it, and then run 
the other line into 1/4 pipe fitting by the filter head. My local "we can make 
hydraulic lines in 10 minutes" auto shop seems unable to get the fittings. The 
banjo bolt connection seems to be the problem.
