Rick,
There is no such colour as "British Racing Green". A hundred years or so ago
colours were assigned to various countries so that spectators could tell
which cars to root for before they had already lumbered past (or some such
reason). Italy got red, France got blue, Germany got silver (some claim that
this was so that they could simply polish the bare metal and save the weight
of a paint job), and Britain got green. Every car company was free to
implement their conception of what shade that should be, so there was never
an official pantone value. They generally agreed upon a dark green, but
there are many shades with equal claims to the name. As a side note, if you
actually read the book of "Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang" by Ian Fleming, rather
than merely watching the Disney movie, you would realize that, since they
found this car as an old green race car, she must have been British. The
story actually makes more sense that way...
