If it leaks, that's too much pitting.
The seals travel a distance to compansate for pitting.
Let's just say minor pits have not been a problem for me in master 
cylinders.
Slave cylinders on the other hand seem to be useless if there is 1 minor 
pit. (on any of mine in yhe past few yews)
