Get serious!  Money has nothing to do with it.  It is 1) laziness, 
and/or 2) writing a story that will stir the emotions of readers.  
People--the public--WANT to believe that forest fires are deliberately set.

What is admirable is that the U.S. Forest Service stepped up and 
admitted a mistake and will pay for all costs of the fire--about $3 
million to date.

However, to blame "Capitalist bastids!" is quite revealing!
