With the "new" bonnet seal, I had the better half hold one end and I 
on the other end, then we pulled and stretched it. As we were 
stretching we lowered into the undersized slot. Then trimmed the 
excess from the overhanging ends. Fits nice and tight with no need 
for any adhesive.
