The XF-2J, or Navy Department version of the F-86, didn't make it for 
Navy use because  they were too heavy and underpowered for aircraft 
carrier operations.  There were 200 F-2J Fury's manufactured for  Marine 
for close-in ground support.  The F-4 was, of course the much later and 
totally different F-4 Phantom.
