This past May we were on our first ride in our Midget outside the
safety(?!) of the city limits down a county highway as dusk was
approaching (read that as increased deer movement). My wife made the
nervous comment she "hopes we don't hit a deer because it'd probably
roll this car".
That was the first time I considered buying a rollbar, but my response
to her was "No big deal - a deer would most likely go right on over
the top of this car."
With a comforting tone she agreed that was probably right (we'd had a
deer jump over the hood of a Buick Skyhawk many years ago as we
skidded to avoid it).
So I waited a half mile more before adding "Of course, a good sized
DOG runs in front of us and this car is probably done for!"
