If I had a '64 Impala I would not have a roll bar, for the stylish
reasons mentioned.  But, since I drive the roadster "spiritedly", I
feel safer with the bar.

Since it both looks better, IMHO, and is safer, IMHO, I feel the roll
bar is a win-win option for some cars, Spridgets included.
