Hello all,---I am about to rebuild my generator and will be putting in a new
bearing. As I recall it was secured by a bearing retaining plate which was
riveted in place. I picked up a bunch of rivets from the hardware store to play
with but got to wondering if machine screws might be an option. Maybe a
2-56? Did they use rivets initially because there is not room enough for the
heads of the screws? Thought I'd ask if anyone has done this before,
