Yeah, but how much did you make an hour in 1960's? Would you be content to
make the same wage today? It is called inflation (like 18% under Carter).
I still have a 1961 parts house catalog for English and European cars.
Amazing the changes. A Lucas starter was $37, a complete Borg & Beck clutch
$36. Of course, at the time I was making $225 a month, so it all washes
out.
