Hey, Kent.. appreciate the offer. I have a 1275 in the car. I would settle
for a points distributor also. I just want to see the behavior of this problem
change.

I have a couple of questions...
1. does the Lucas electronic distributor REQUIRE the external amplifier on the
1275? The car never had one before and it was running at one point (although
it was on 2.5 cylinders)
2. does anyone in the Seattle/Everett area have a spare distributor I could
borrow to troubleshoot this?
Hi Ed,
Do you have a 1500 or a 1275 in your car? The electronic dizzy wasn't used on
the 1275 engines (from the factory). If you have a 1500 I have a couple of
spare dizzies but am not in your area... You are welcome to borrow one for the
cost of shipping. I don't have any info on them as they both came with parts
cars that I had at one time. If one were to solve your problem, it could be had
cheap.
