OOOooo! I see my name was taken in vain at some point on this thread. I can
argue both sides of the equation, I think, but in reality, I traded a Weber
DCOE for my 1/5 SUs to a guy named Craig Chima. Craig had fully developed
these carbs with George Bauchman, and I gave Craig my motor specs before he
shipped the carbs. Craig dialed them in and said "don't touch anything, just
bolt them on." I did just that, and 4 years later the car still goes like
absolute stink. There is no oil in the dashpots.
