There are so many people on these lists that are smarter than I am, that I
sometimes ask non LBC questions, knowing I will get fast, good answers on
almost any subject. (except religion and politics---lol).

So................Here goes.

I have had a motion sensor light in my shop next to the bugeyes (LBC content
lol) for about 15 years. Several times the light has come on and stayed on.
I simply kill the breaker for 30 sec and turn back on and it resets and is
normal.

This time the light is on always and turning the breaker off and on does not
fix it. The only way to turn off the light is to un screw the bulbs.

So my question is, do these motion sensors go bad from time to time or
should I consider taking it down, taking it apart and trying to fix it? I
have one outside in the weather for 25 years with no problems.

Any thoughts? It is only about $15 for a new one but it is a PITA to reach
it and re wire it.

Thanks in advance for your expert knowledge and advice.

You never know with this group, there might be someone out there who
designed the first one, or who invented them!

Thanks,

Bob in San Diego
