[Spridgets] Welder

Hi Kevin,
I use an older Hobart Handler 135 at work, and it is a very good machine with
a good wire feed and gun. That is a good price, and you'll want the one with
the gas kit. I wouldn't use flux-core wire for anything but building fences.
The only thing I don't like is that the voltage control it is a "Tap" with
only four choices. Most of the cheaper welders from all of the manufacturers
use this style, but with some experience you can dial in your welds better
with a "Continuous" voltage adjustment. There is a good explanation on the
Lincoln Electric web site, and the P/N's for their MIG welders reflect the
voltage adjustment, i.e. Power MIG 140C vs. a 140T. If you plan to use the
welder for a lot of varied projects it might be an issue for you.

Hi All,

I have recently been looking at welders.

and,

Both are built by Hobart and ALL of Hobart's welders are MADE IN THE
USA! They are sold by Tractor Supply (and other welding shops)
locally, so I can get parts and service locally.

Anyone have experience(s) with Hobart welders?

Thanks for your impending in-put.
