Hey guys! How about we disassociate Ms. Wheat from all of the
bitching and moaning this has evolved into? Could we find a new
     "subject" entry?

I agree with Jeff. My Tiger is mostly stock, except for improved
tires, fuel pump, brake fluid, oil filter mounting, horns, and lets
just say "electrical improvements". It's more reliable and easier to
maintain, but it still sounds and feels pretty much like an original.
But I can still appreciate a museum piece, or a "Tiger" that started
life as a pile of tubes and a vat of resin. There should be room for
     everyone.

Another thought: It seems to me that the western gang takes all of
this Sunbeam stuff a lot more seriously that we east coast folks. A
recent transplant form CA to MA felt the same way when we spoke
recently. Example: I've never seen complaining like TUXXII after an
     east coast event. Comments?

Chill out and enjoy the cars! (Obvious East coast comment)

     Phil,

You obviously have (in my opinion and let the flames begin), a
healthy attitude toward the hobby of 'collector cars'. For some
people, it is an all consuming passion of what is 'correct and
original' versus just driving and enjoying the car itself. Museum
pieces are fine and dandy but you never see them on the road. All
cars where built for one reason and one reason only, to be driven.

My philosophy toward my Tiger is to try to keep it running as reliably as
possible and to keep the appearance close to stock. Others might modify
the
s*** out of it or keep all the Rootes stickers and chalk markings on. In
either instance, that's cool by me. Every one has an opinion and is free
to
express it (the euphemism is 'bitch'). The problem arises when someone on
this list might not like it and gets defensive.

     Always controversial,

     Jeff

     Jeff;

-I sold my restored '55 OLDMOBILE ROCKET 88 to buy our TIGER. (Yes, it
had matching fuzzy dice on the rearview mirror & a hula-dancer on the
back deck). After about 6-months of this bad-blood between everyone, I
was about an RCH from re-selling it and going back in to the
     street-rod "scene".

-Only by meeting a number of you that are not so up-tight and enjoy
your cars, did I stay a TIGER owner.
