I mounted a Stewart-Warner temp gauge in my engine compartment, using the original sensor location. It read 215 when the engine (stock 260) was hot. The regular gauge was pegged. I did some of the things recommended in the Tom Ehrhart article and brought the temperature on the S-W gauge down to 185. My regular gauge is still pegged. The voltage regulator to the dash is suspect at this point. Fred Baum |
