1.              To clean and polish rubberized bumpers, just wipe over
                with petrol (gas).  Then polish with black boot polish, rub
                up to a super shine.

2.              I have tried the various tips for polishing black bumpers
                and tires, but I have now discovered that there is nothing
                to beat black top wax by Turtle Wax.  The result is great.

        I was a member of the UK MGOC for a year, and this book has some 
good tips from owners' and experts. These two tips are from individual 
owners. 
        I've tried the first method, but used that thick silicone product 
        called Black Magic, available at Wal-Mart, K-Mart etc. 
        The Black Magic works well on the bumpers and tires on my '78 Midget.
