Hi,

It seems that as of late I have been taking up some serious bandwidth
and getting some great replies as well. Unfortunately, I haven't been
able to reply to most of the replies so count this as a thanks and a
sort of compilation of my results from the opinions and advice that
generously sent to me.

BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER:

The general concesus in regards to buy v. rebuild was to rebuild.
Jeeze, my biggest problem, or maybe worry would be a better term, was
that it was just to easy. I have got to be missing something. But
after going as slowly as possible during reassembly (about 15 min) and
being lucky enough to have a cyl. that was in great shape (no
pitting, etc) I was done!. I figure it beats the hell out of buying a
new one! I haven't bled the system yet since I am waiting for my
brother to get here but I there was no air coming in around the seals
etc when I tested it manually. The only real disipointment it the I
had a minor work related emergency yesterday so the extra money I laid
out fot the next day air was for not!

NETTIQUETT:

The way I understand it is as follows: The triumph list was an offshoot
of the british car list so you could keep the bandwidth down and more
closely related to the topic of triumphs. I figure that If I have a
triumph related post, it would by default a british related post there
fore I will zap it to both lists. It is a brit related post with no
triumph related information at all I will send it to the brit list
only. And if it is about pyrmid money making schemes, I should send it
to every mailing list and newsgroup! ;)

Workshop Manual

For the most part, the general thought was that they make a pretty
good combination. The real benifit of the haynes it that in many cases
it will suggest an alternative tool to be used if the factory tool is
not, which in many cases it is not. I also find my parts book from TRF
useful, as the diagrams are pretty precise. That is if they have one
for your model, sorry Teri :(

TRF

I havent really contributed in this thread but If you recall frome some
of my earlier posts, I was concerned because I couldn't find the
resivour to cyl seals for my MC rebuild. The TRF rep was kind enough
to pull the part off the shelf and compare the parts to his diagrams
and he informed that they would not be included. Well... Much to my
suprise, they were in the box. I was very happy but on the other
hand....

Thanks for all the input!

David
