On Monday, Peter Barrance asked:

When the manual specifies toe-in - is that measured at the
wheel-rim edges, or at tire outer edge, or somewhere else? Also,
is the spec. given per side or in total usually?

Peter - my experience on other non-lbcs was to set the toe-in
measuring it from the center of the tire on the front tread face
(as opposed to the tread facing the rear of the car). Since you
are measuring degrees of toe-in (or toe-out as the case may be),
it seems to me that you want to measure across the front of the
car. Anyways, that's my 2 cents worth. Hope it helps.
