I am driving my lovely 1970 GT6+ Targa, found out that getting it registered
in DK (in 1997 when I plan to return) will run me about $5,000 - 9,000 -
depending on the valuation of it at that time. However, I have also been
informed that if only the car would be at least 35 years old (by 1997), I
would only have to pay approximately one-third of this. Therefore I am
thinking about MAYBE selling my GT6 within the next year, and instead buy a
pre-1962 Triumph (or maybe even - aarrrgggg - an Austin Healey, MG, Porsche
356, or what not - it just has to be European, pref. british (so much for
the Porche idea), sporty - and more than 35 years old). This would be NO
problem if only I won the Texas Lottery - but at the time of this planned
pruchase I will still be on a student-budget (hopefully not by the end of
1997 though), so what would I be able to get for say $5,000 - 7,000?? - or
less ;-)!!) Any good suggestions?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Michael

P.S. Are there significant seasonalities in the prices of these types of
cars here in the States (I figured that alot of people would want to get rid
of them when fall sets in...)
