in the u.s., the trade name (and often the generic term used) for what was
methanol is "Heet", more recently, i believe due to emergence of efi
systems, recommendations have been for isopropanol, and there is even a
branded "Isopropyl Heet" in north america, i don't think there was anything
wrong with methanol for carbeuretor systems, but the isopropanol may have
replaced it on the shelves, anyone know if there's anything wrong with
isopropanol for old carbeuretor systems?-
i try to keep tank more than half full all winter and i put in some
isopropanol with alternating fills
