I don't see any reason why you shouldn't trust a TR6 for 
daily transport.  I do.  Just keep it tuned properly and 
don't use cheap parts.  I follow the maintenance schedule in 
the owners handbook(I think it's in the Bentley manual 
too)and have had good luck so far.  Having said this, I'm 
going out now to knock on a whole cord of wood!
