One of my favorite haunts a decade ago was a place called Merrell's
outside of Piedmont, AL. (about halfway between Huntsville and Atlanta,
GA. Out in the outskirts of bucolic Piedmont one can find Loti (plural
of Lotus), Audi, and many LBC (bought my first Spit there in '74).
I was gratified a few weekends ago to drive by for the first time in
about 9 years and see that it was still prospering.
