That would most likely indicate a 1972 GT6 Mk. 3 block.

Seems like a lot of extra numbers, but the HC prefix indicates a 
transmission from a Vitesse 2 liter, which would be pretty much identical 
to a GT6+ or early Mk.3 transmission.
