Same setup as a GT6 or a TR6 as far as linkage, seems to me though, and this
was a long time ago, that I had to go through several needle changes to get
it right - not for the un-initiated, and I can't remember what I ended up
with.  And your right, if you cant tune one, than tuning two is four times
the work! ( or something like that :-))

Yep!  Right again, twin SU's were standard on the all the early Spits, up
till the late MKIII (the MKIII manifold is the only one that will fit your
head) here in the states, and  on the other side of the pond they continued
to use them on the 1500's as well.  The advantage is that all the tuning and
jet selection has been done fore you.  The manifolds, carbs and needles etc.
are still available from Rimmer Brothers I believe.
