I think you mean, from your standard transmission.  I'll assume that.

This is true for the TR6.

Can't say I remember rotating mine, but what I do remember is that there
are SIX holes where this bracket can mount.  On the standard trans, the
front four holes are used.  The overdrive trans requires that you use
the rear four holes.  I bet those rear holes are filled with crud and
you
can't see them.  But they are there.  This will allow you to slide the 
bracket to the rear, and PRESTO, your trans will drop right in.
