It will fit, but you will have to grind or machine the ribs at the front (I
did mine at about a 15 deg. angle) to insure adequate clearance for the
bonnet. The bonnet bulge comes AWFULLY close at this location (MK1 and 2)
as even rotating the hose clamp at the upper radiator hose in the wrong
location can cause a nick in the hood (DPO) . Also, make sure it mounts
with the filler in the middle or towards the rear. Other than that, no
problems (I went with the black, too much work to keep the polished one
looking good :-})
