Back in the 60's it was quite commonplace to wave or flash your lights at
other sports cars and the only hesitation was deciding if a Corvette was
actually a sports car <g>. After 20 years of driving LJC's (little Japanese
cars) and hardly ever receiving a return wave from Triumphs, MG's, Porsches,
etc. I put it down to the fact that I wasn't driving a true sports car. Then
I got my GT6+ and I figured I'd be waving like crazy....nope! Evidently,
there are a lot of people driving LBC's that never experienced the
camaraderie(sp) of the 60's. When I do get a wave or a flash of headlights
these days I know I've found a true afcianado. I guess that makes the
experience better than if every Miata or Mitsubishi Eclipse waved or flashed
lights.

Maybe it's a custom that needs to be revived. Or maybe it's somethimg that
has been lost to progress like sitting on your front porch and talking to
neighbors. After all, it's tough to wave while steering, shifting and talking
on your cell phone!!!!
