Have never seen a TR4 rear axle ending with ""x" or "+".  My bet is that
it's a third number that was poorly stamped.  Maybe an "8"?

The "BT" indicates a 3.70:1 ratio (CT means 4.10:1), and 13 or 138 would
make it a VERY early one.

TR4 gearbox numbers all begin with "CT".  "CC" indicates a post-1969 TR6,
if I remember correctly.
