I just subscribed today and thought an introduction would be in
order.........
I'm AJ Turner, 47, from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA area. I've owned
a number of Brit sports cars over the years from the Pre-War MG Midget (a
PA, I believe?...it was inherited) to various TRs, a Griffith 400 (nee: TVR
Tuscan), Lotus Europa & Elan, '73 MGB, to my present 1976 TR-6 (purchased
because it was the last of it's breed).
I'm also a "bike" fanatic and own a '69 Triumph 650 Tiger (TR-6r).
I love Vintage racing and am addicted to F-1, CART, SCCA, and Motorcycle
(FIA, WERA, AMA) racing.
My TR-6 is close to concours although I do believe in driving my cars and I
will replace something with a non-standard part if it's a definite
improvement, as long as it's not noticable (ie: electronic ignition system,
etc.). I've got wire wheels on her, a roll-bar, and real Michelin
red-lines....hoping they NEVER wear-out ! ;-))
Anyhow, I don't want to bore you to tears about me! I'm looking forward to
the exchange, although I might "lurk" a bit until I learn the character of
the list.
Just thought I'd announce my "presence", for what it's worth............
