A lady I was seeing for a short while (6 months ago or so) was
experimenting with large infra-red heater elements for this
use (surplus from a DOT garage). The whole setup (2 heaters,
4' or so long each) was < $200. If I ever hear from her
again, I'll ask her how it went...
