Lead hammers, available from British Wire Wheel, are very gentle on knockoffs while giving a very good whack too. The deformability of the lead, while making them gentle on the knockoffs, makes the life of the hammer a little shorter. It's what I use, but I know others that feel very strongly about the copper/rawhide hammers. Have fun with the new car!! Mike Burdick Durham, NC |
