Not to sound out of line, but, how long do you think a oil filter
company would be around selling filters that split open, clog-up or just
destroy a engine, how many law suits have you read about, Fram has been
around for over 50 years never heard of a blow engine or a lawyer
defending them. I have heard the comment "Pep Boys sells rejected
seconds, can you imagine buying defective ball joints or tire rod ends,
or brake shoes, or wheel cyclinders, the court would ten times more
over-booked than they are today. No major manufacturer ever wants a
lawsuit, but defective oil filters, thats stretching.
