Frank, on the earlier TR's the Interior Light was mounted on the
driveshaft tunnel, behind the handbrake. It sits on a plinth and is
about an inch forward of the flat part over the diff. They throw the
ligh forward (like a trailer number plate light) and work OK. They
are a pain though when you're trying to get your key in the ignition -
your arm blocks the light!
