Sorry Gary, I can't help with the part, but for the record TS57756L also had
post 60000 windshield stanchion mounting. I think this was a change that
was phased in well ahead of the TS60000 overall changes.

I think that I have an unusual "transition part" for the windshield
stanchion
of my TR3A commission # TS58399. The part in question is the bracket that
fits between the scuttle and the stanchion. Post 60000 cars don't have this
piece as the stanchion bolts directly to the scuttle with 2 chromed screws.
Pre 60000 cars have this piece with three holes that attach the piece to the
scuttle and the windshield the slides onto this piece and is then anchored
with Dzus fasteners.

The bracket that I have has only 2 holes that line up with the two holes on
the scuttle.
Furthermore the windshield is fastened with Chromed screws, not Dzus
fasteners. I had a post 60000 donor car with the raised plinths. The
scuttle on the post 60000 car measures 1/4 inch wider that my pre 60000 non
plinth vehicle. The post 60000 windshield stantions will not fit on the
bracket as they have no slot provision, and it is 1/4 inch too wide.

Now for my problem. I only have the left hand side bracket. Does someone
out there have a right hand in this style? I don't care if it needs to be
re-chromed. I may be able to modify a standard bracket by drilling the
necessary holes, so I would be interested in that as an alternative. Also,
I
need both PRE 60000 windshield stanchions that have the slotted bottoms, as
the donor car's stanchions have too much gap and no slot provision.

The Triumph factory must have had to use this "transition piece" in order to
use up the old style windshields when they went to the 2 screw fastening
system.
