spit piston

I found a lonely piston in a box of parts with my newest car and I have
NO idea
what it goes to or whats it story...

this piston is the same size as a Spitfire piston but it has 4 rings on
it
3 on top above the connecting rod connection and one ring below that
at the bottom   it also has 4 tear shape holes about below the lowest
3rd ring
at the top etc...
anyone have any idea what this would goto?
