Listers:

...sorry to post this to the whole list.........but I have a question that
some of you may be able to help with....

....I have a totally 'straight' 1958 TR3...sans overdrive........that is
down at my father's place in Palm Springs.....and I live in Washington
State......right near the Canadian border.....my father is selling his
place down there....and I want to get my car back here.....but I am not in
any great hurry.......so I am sort of curious as to whether or not any of
you listers out there know of any reliable 'shops' that could do some work
on the car for me.....

.....being a Triumph owner for more years then I care to admit.....I have
learned that 'time' is never, ever a mitigating factor.......I could leave
the car with the shop for a period of time...have some things done to it
that need doing..... and then bring it back......I plan on 'trailering' it
back eventually anyways...... so driving it is not an issue ......if I did
drive it back......my timing chain would probably 'wrap-around-itself' just
outside of Grants Pass, Oregon....and exactly how much fun would that
be?.....very little thank you....

....so I guess my question is........do any of you folks that are on this
list........know of someone in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area ....that
works on TR's..... and 'get's it' about parts..... and what a wonderful
little automobile it is.....especially of course, to 'work on'...........:-)

......please respond to my email address.......
robertj@eurojazz.com......so we don't 'bomb-the-list'.......

.....thanks in advance....and this list is very great.....thanks to all of
you who contribute.....I have learned a lot and and am very
grateful.......even the 'Blonde Jokes' are okay.....:-)

........I mean if you have a TR3..... you gotta be havin' a sense of
humor......right?.......I have had 4 of the little rascals......all of
which I worked on.......and none of which I can talk about.....for fear of
chastisement....

.......and a Norton 650 Dominator.......and a TR6......and my kid brother
currently has a 1971 750 Norton Commando S........and my older.....much
wiser brother had a TR2 back in 1965.....so we get the LBC.....BMC
'thing'...... and drove his TR2.......until he had to make a boat anchor
out of it.....which I think took about 10 years.....(just kidding)....so he
sorta started the whole LBC 'thing'....and I don't know if I should thank
him......have him arrested......or invoice him.....
