I replaced my clutch back in the Spring and found no such thing on the old
sleeve or on the new one. I just lubed the shaft with grease and put it all
together. I also pressed some extra grease into the new TO bearing(as it was
the point of failure in the old system). Its entirely possible that such a
thing existed on the original system but the VB sleeve I got did not have one.

Good Luck!
